A change is coming
There seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel! I must admit the first quarter of 2021 has been very difficult for me. I hope you fared better. However, one thing for sure is "everything changes" . . . , my heart rejoiced when I saw the first flowers the other day, and it's coming again to the time where we are gonna be blessed with amazing sundowns.
Everything is subject to change; our skin changes and is getting constantly renewed. Did you know that as adults, humans can regenerate even some organs, such as the liver? Researchers examined healthy older people's brain tissue and found they can generate just as many new brain cells as younger people!
So keep learning and keep not only your body exercising but also your brain! A good circulation of blood to the brain is important, and yoga practised correctly (that is, without tensioning too much) can achieve a better chance of cell regeneration. According to researchers, the body replaces itself with a largely new set of cells every seven to 10 years! The body's skeleton completely regenerates itself about every 10 years. Remodelling means that old pieces of bone are removed and replaced with fresh new bone tissue.
But how do you get to know yourself when you are constantly changing?
Know that you change, and so does everybody around you and love and honour those changes, and most of all, appreciate and embrace every day as a new beginning. It's the same when you practice yoga on the mat. Some days you will be more motivated, some days less, but try to do every day a little bit. A change is coming can be such a simple but yet powerful insight.
Do you want to keep your brain and body healthy? I am offering yoga teacher training in which you will stimulate both! Find out more here.
